About Nessa Bottles™

The world's first dumbbell-shaped baby bottle — a patented ergonomic design that allows babies as young as 4 months old to grip and feed themselves independently.

What Problem Does It Solve?

Every parent knows the drill — you're holding a bottle for your baby 6 to 10 times a day, 15–20 minutes each session. That's up to 3 hours a day where one hand is permanently occupied. You can't eat, work, tend to another child, or even scroll your phone.

Traditional straight-cylinder bottles are too wide for infant hands to grip. Parents are stuck.

Nessa Bottles gives that time back. The dumbbell shape lets babies hold and control their own bottle from 4 months on — building fine motor skills and independence while freeing parents to actually live their lives.

What Makes It Different?

Every detail is intentional. Every feature solves a real problem.

Patented Design

USPTO-approved design patent with utility patent pending. No other baby bottle on the market uses this shape.

Dumbbell Grip

The narrow center section is engineered specifically for infant hand proportions. Babies instinctively grab it like a rattle.

Premium PPSU Body

Not cheap plastic. PPSU is the gold standard in medical-grade baby products. Lightweight, shatter-proof, and chemical-free.

Only 4 Parts

Bottle body, silicone nipple, collar ring, and cap. No complicated valves, straws, or inserts. Disassembles in seconds for cleaning.

10 oz Capacity

Right-sized for the 4–12 month feeding stage.

BPA-Free Everything

PPSU body, food-grade silicone nipple, BPA-free PP caps.

The Origin Story

I'm Jon Shilalis, a dad from Massachusetts. I invented Nessa Bottles out of pure frustration. I was feeding my baby 8+ times a day and couldn't understand why no bottle existed that a baby could actually hold on their own.

Every bottle on the shelf is a straight cylinder — designed for adult hands, not baby hands. So I designed one that works like a dumbbell. My baby grabbed it on the first try.

I filed a patent, built a website, and now I'm bringing it to market. The name “Nessa” is a personal family name.

Global baby bottle market — and growing

Yet every major brand — Philips Avent, Dr. Brown's, MAM, Comotomo — sells the same basic cylinder shape. Nobody has solved the grip problem. Nessa Bottles is the only patented solution in this space. A licensing-ready, retail-ready product with mass-market appeal and zero direct competition on the core design innovation.
